In 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2002 and 2023 Fautor Winery was the most awarded Moldovan winery.
One of the company's strengths is owning a unique portfolio of rare varieties, but especially world exclusive blends.
Both winery and the vineyards are situated in Tigheci microzone, as part of viticulture and winemaking area "Valul lui Traian", South of Moldova.
Tigheci microzone is absolutely unique, being one of the best area for producing high quality wines both white and red.
Within the years of 2003-2006 the winery has been equipped with advanced technology and new vineyards have been planted to reach its present size of more than 350 ha.
The family company "Fautor" was founded in the late XXth century. The path traveled was marked by awards and achievements, but at the basis of success stands the experience and enthusiasm of the family members.

“The best red wine comes from Moldova – the Fautor Negre 2017 is a blend of the native varieties Feteasca Neagra and Rara Neagra.”- Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, 2022
Recently, the emblematic red blend Negre by Fautor Winery was awarded as the best red wine in the world. The award was won in one of the most prestigious international wine competitions – “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles”, during the 2022 “Red & White” Session.
“Fautor Negre 2017” from Fautor Winery got the highest score, out of a total number of about 5 thousand red wines from around the world. “Negre” – a red blend of the local varieties “Feteasca Neagră” and “Rara Neagră” – is a remarkable representative of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) region “Valul lui Traian”, in the south of the country, located at the same latitude as the famous Bordeaux region in France.
The quality of wines from the family owned Fautor Winery has been reconfirmed through numerous medals and awards at international competitions, starting with 2017, which brought it the national title of “The most awarded winery”.
The winery started as a family business at the end of the 20th century, and the following decades, marked by work, passion and innovation, were crowned with a unique portfolio, composed wines made of rare grape varieties.
